As the days went by, Masky's fever broke. Soon, he was able to stand and do things on his own again. Hoodie was extremely relieved. And eventually, the two were sent out on another mission.
"Ready to go?" Hoodie smiled. He was so excited to be able to go on another mission with Masky. He didn't work well with anyone else. Hoodie still hadn't told Masky how he felt, so he decided to do it after the mission.
"Hold on." Masky took a couple of his pills, then slipped his mask on. "Ready."
"You've been taking a lot of those recently. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah." Masky smiled. "I've just been a little light headed. Let's go." Masky coughed and opened a portal. The entire time they were travelling, Hoodie kept an eye on Masky, who seemed to be coughing more than before now.
"Hold on...I sense someone." Hoodie looked around carefully.
"I'll go check it out." Masky ran off.
"Masky! Wait!" Hoodie went to follow, but quickly hid at the sound of footsteps. He didn't bother to see who it was. He was more worried about finding out where his partner went. "Masky?" He called out. "Masky!"
"Where'd you go??" A voice called out. Hoodie froze. He scowled in disgust.
"Not this bastard again." Hoodie climbed up a nearby tree and watched as Jay came running down the path.
"Tim!" Jay looked around. "Damn it!" He growled. Hoodie kept a watchful eye over him. "Hey!" Jay suddenly yelled.
"Shit!" Hoodie jumped out of the tree and took off, as Jay chased him.
"Wait!" Jay coughed, and eventually stopped. Hoodie, taking the opportunity, quickly turned and tackled Jay to the ground.
"It's your fault!" Hoodie hissed. Jay gasped. This was the first time that he had heard Hoodie speak. "Whenever you show up, he disappears!!" Jay quickly realized that he was talking about Masky. Jay growled.
"My fault?! It's you freaks that are torturing Tim to the point of insanity!! Every time he comes back, he's more terrified than last time!"
"And what do you know about him?" Hoodie's voice softened, but was just as severe. "You didn't even try to help him when you first saw his mask!" Hoodie slammed Jay down on the ground a few times. "Give him back! Let me bring Masky back home!" Jay coughed as he felt himself loosing consciousness.
"Masky? Heh....he's nothing but an illusion......" Jay grinned. Hoodie pulled out a knife.
"You son of a-!" Hoodie's eyes widened as he felt himself being kicked back and pinned down.
"Jay! Are you alright?!" A frantic voice called out. Hoodie hissed as he was met with the blue eyes that he hated so much.

Lilyas has dedicated herself to making our community a brighter place with her vibrant artwork and infectious enthusiasm for interacting with others in our community. It has certainly paid off, as many deviants flock to her page on a daily basis to let her know how much of an inspiration she is. We absolutely agree, and couldn't let all that hard work go without recognition, so it's with great pride that we bestow the Deviousness Award for March 2014, to ... Read More
